Meet The Team
Amos Oumounabidji
I grew up in Chad and have many years’ experience working in Bible Translation, literacy, and community health programs. When I lived in the village, my literacy and health care work allowed me to see how children are disadvantaged in all areas. This pushed me to act to give a chance to those children. From a young age, I have had a desire for every person to have the dignity of self-sufficiency, and to have the same opportunity. I was inspired in this by my mother who strove to farm her land and provide for the family with dignity, after my father died when I was 5 years old.
I am a football fan and enjoy following current affairs.
Dr. Halimatou Youssoufou Bourdanné
Chair
I have been working as a medical doctor in the UK for the last 5 years. I have a special interest in Women’s health, having been an OBGYN in my previous career. Helping others in any way I can (through education and through good health) is something I hold dear to my heart.
Juliette Dodo Siddo
I am a results driven, detail-orientated and collaborative project manager with over 10 years’ experience in the Learning and International Development sector.
I was born and grew up in France. After graduating – Bachelor in Sociology and Master in Management and Business Administration – I moved to England, where I worked in sales and arts management, before entering the sector of International Development, where my heart lies.
During my studies I started to travel to West Africa and have been to Burkina Faso, Côte d'Ivoire, Senegal, Togo and Niger. I became very fond of the region, its diversity, liveliness and beauty. I have also been moved by the challenges of poverty and conflicts faced by communities in some areas.
I am passionate about bringing people together, and collaboratively build capacities and empower communities to thrive; and particularly interested in the current questions around decolonization and power shift.
ITanaba represents all what I am passionate about, and I am eager to be able to contribute to such a current and fundamental work.
Tamibé Bourdanné
I am a photographer based in London. Originally from Chad, Niger and Nigeria, but born and raised in Côte d'Ivoire. My work revolves around places, its environments and people.
With my expertise in the field of communication, I aim to provide the best approaches to push Itanaba’s agendas forward.
Iahlii Oumarou Bourdanné
Being born in Côte d’Ivoire, I have always had a place in my heart for West Africa in particular. I
am currently studying economics and politics at Manchester university in the hopes of one day
being able to help make a change for my region. Itanaba is a stepping stone towards that goal
and I am excited to see what the future holds in working towards that goal. I enjoy sharing and
cultivating knowledge on topics concerning African development and Itanaba will enable the
realization of such ideas, hence why I’m happy to be a part of it.
